Hi Neal!

Good line up you got there

not to be a wet blanket but HBA might not play

Interest that Norwich aren't using Holt

He’s the sort of big target guy who gives Arsenal fits on set pieces

yeah, hope for an arsenal clean sheet

by Ahmed Mohamed Nour on Nov 19, 2011 4:42 AM PST up reply actions

I wish I knew

If I had to guess, I’d say he starts on the bench but comes in at halftime if Spurs aren’t winning.

Great picture of Hoolihan next to RvP

There must be a 6 to 8 inch height difference

DDG

Silva, Ramsey, O’Hara, Rodwell
RVP, Klasnic, K2

Feels like it has been like a month without matches.

but it would make the season more interesting in the long run

by Neal Thurman on Nov 19, 2011 4:46 AM PST up reply actions

Chelsea and Arsenal are the obvious choices

With Stoke and Sunderland the mid-table teams that should be of some interest.

Will certainly help Spurs if he does

Especially if they are cautious with VDV and his hammy

by Neal Thurman on Nov 19, 2011 4:51 AM PST up reply actions

I have erred in choosing Elliot Bennett…Didn’t quite have enough for Bradley Johnson, and also woke up late. I am doomed from the start…

Interesting that it is Kos that is at RB

I would have guessed Vermaelen since he seems more athletic and versatile

by Neal Thurman on Nov 19, 2011 4:53 AM PST reply actions

Arsenal knocking on the door

They certainly look like they’re going to score 3 or 4 today, don’t they?

by Neal Thurman on Nov 19, 2011 4:54 AM PST reply actions

Red Sox and Liverpool

Had a chance to visit Fenway Park at a corporate event last week and met Sam Kennedy who is the number two guy for owner John Henry. Managed to chat with him for abt 10 minutes on Liverpool. He agreed Carroll needs to start scoring more goals. Also said Liverpool needs a larger stadium.

by Ming W on Nov 19, 2011 4:59 AM PST reply actions

That's a pretty cool event to get to go to

Interesting times at both Liverpool and the core Red Sox businesses

by Neal Thurman on Nov 19, 2011 5:00 AM PST up reply actions

Sam was friendly and unassuming. Complained abt no direct flights between Boston N Liverpool except when flying w the boss.

by Neal Thurman on Nov 19, 2011 5:14 AM PST up reply actions

Not sure

They certainly should but Yahoo never really specifies what constitutes an SOT (and I’m sure it is Opta that actually makes the decision)

Ramsey is pretty rubbish today.

by FlyingHamster on Nov 19, 2011 5:21 AM PST reply actions

I think he gave away too many passes, and not really doing much anywhere on the field. The same could be said of Arteta, of course. Perhaps that’s what efficiency is about.

so i’m looking at the barn door for next week and noticed that a lot of the teams that are worth a bet this week – Stoke, Sunderland and Arsenal have pretty good match ups. Could go through the week withouyt making many changes

Definitely

I’m looking to keep RvP, Bendtner, Verm and would think about Sess as well

Belated "Good morning" Neal et al

I overslept (the result of Friday + beer) and woke up to discover I already had a goal (RvP). Maybe I should oversleep more often. :)

RvP is scoring goals like Ronaldo and Messi, but you have to say the goals RvP scores is not on the same majestic scale as the other two…

by Aristotle6 on Nov 19, 2011 5:40 AM PST reply actions

If you have to pay an arm and a leg for Ronaldo and Messi at the La Liga game, it’s only appropriate to do the same for RvP.

Thanks, Had both Verm and Santos @6, but dropped Santos, because of the discount. Verm will still be the better long term bet though. Arsenal need a right back quickly as possible as Jenkinson doesn’t look to have that much potential to me.
