Well, it appears that the question has been answered on, do we keep De Gea or not?..... Or has it? Personally, I have moved on, and on my team he has been replaced. It also appears that I am not alone in this decision. However, since doing so, I have had some regrets. Here are a few "after thoughts" on the situation.
Yes, his play was poor BUT, would so many have dropped him if the majority of our remaining players did not score equally as poor? Posting a weekly score of say 110 and having De Gea at 5-ish, I believe would have seen the majority of us, including myself, overlook this past week and holding him would have been the move of choice.
Compound that with the first "double" week of the season, causing most of us to consider keepers from those teams and poof...De Gea..De Gone.
The facts are,he remains one of the highest scoring players priced under 10 at any position and it is my belief that (if) he gets the nod at goal and scores well, we will see many attempting to fit him back in.
