Snodgrass doubtful with ankle injury

Stay connected for news and updates

Norwich City midfielder Robert Snodgrass is a doubt for Scotland’s upcoming World Cup qualifying double header with an ankle problem.

The 25-year-old was an unused substitute for the Canaries’ weekend Premier League defeat to Chelsea, but Scotland assistant manager Peter Houston yesterday revealed the midfielder reported for duty with the injury.

"Snoddy was on the bench on Saturday with Norwich and never got on with his ankle, and it is still giving him a bit of trouble," he said. "We are just going to monitor that."

Neal was just wondering why Snodgrass didn't play against Chelsea, when they were desperate for his creativity. Now, I guess we have an answer.
