Hey managers,
We're back with another set of predictions. It was a good week for the model, with ten of the teams within 0.75 points of the predictions. Tottenham and Man United showed off their offense as well, as the model predicted. Not so for Arsenal, though they were the third best choice according to the model. Here's hoping for some more solid predictions this weekend!
As always, the numbers in parentheses denote how the predicted score differs from the team's average. I bold the stand-out teams, but be sure to take note of which number is bolded, as that changes the interpretation.
Arsenal 3.14 (+1.33) -v- Blackburn 1.27 (-0.29)
Norwich 2.51 (+1.05) -v- Bolton 1.29 (-0.07)
QPR 1.56 (+0.58) -v- Wolves 1.14 (-0.01)
Stoke 0.90 (-0.11) -v- Sunderland 1.12 (-0.16)
West Brom 0.99 (-0.07) -v- Swansea 0.85 (-0.19)
Wigan 0.90 (-0.07) -v- Everton 1.22 (+0.21)
Man City 3.09 (+0.43) -v- Fulham 0.58 (-0.57)
Newcastle 1.61 (+0.17) -v- Aston Villa 0.91 (-0.28)
Chelsea 1.57 (-0.26) -v- Man United 1.82 (-0.59)
Liverpool 1.13 (-0.10) -v- Tottenham 1.02 (-0.92)
Well, on the heels of a completely disappointing performance, the model predicts that Arsenal are the choice of the week. Are you willing to push your chips their way? Otherwise it looks like Norwich and Man City, with the other matches all fairly dull in terms of fantasy. Good luck with your picks!
