cheap defender help

Hi gang,
Looking for a cheap defender have 5.59 to spend.
current team is
Krul
Taiwo/Bassong/ ???
Bale/Valencia/Dempsey/Ox
Kun/Bellamy/RVP

Currently holding Wilkinson in the spot but not sure if he is best option.
Other option is to sell RVP and upgrade to Verm and then pick up a forward for 27.88
Thanks for any help

Foley.

Inj doubt, but good match up.

Possibly Woodgate.

by Jeremy Spitzberg on Feb 10, 2012 12:15 PM PST up reply actions

that would give me 2 QPR defenders

I did think about Onuoha but not sure I want 2 defenders from QPR

S. Kelly

Fulham..not a bad pick at home?

by K.M. on Feb 10, 2012 1:23 PM PST up reply actions

don't have enough money

I wouldn’t mind Kelly but I don’t have the funds unless I sell RVP in which case there would be better options.

Sorry

I happen to hold him at a slight discount of 4.82 and that’s the price I picked up on..sorry

Maybe Perch? And don’t everyone yell at me…Caldwell??

Good luck

Footnote: I would never drop top strikers or midfielders to shore up my defense at the last minute.

taraabt or eagles?

away versus at home, but both are looking good this week. any opinions?

by alex.e.d. on Feb 10, 2012 1:09 PM PST reply actions

I had taarabt – and looking at eagles as well. I re-shuffled and made room for Bale. A funny week for many it seems with cash on hand due to pick-ups like Essien, Cisse, and Suarez being a seemingly good buy?

Sessegnon?

Still have him at discount. He limped off midweek, but it seems it was only a cramp. Then again, he did play 120 minutes, and the matchup isn’t great. Probably time to drop?

by Kwyjibo_ on Feb 10, 2012 1:55 PM PST reply actions

old cisse or new cisse??

got cisse last week and burn my points..luckily manage to buy p.cisse for replacement.. wise choice?? other striker for 10?

wise ’cause D Cisse banned for 3. F. Campbell @ 9.82

Defoe to start?

Harry said Defoe was back in contention…With VDV out, do you think this means he will start? I have him in my team at the moment and am really happy with it, but that’s dependent upon him playing. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
