So far this season my teams week in and week out have been extremely "unbalanced". What I mean is that I have mainly gone with a line up where my goal tender plus 3-defenders were taking up as little as 10% of my budget and surely not more then 20% for the four positions. In doing so I have "hung in there" posting at total of 2144.50 points and holding at 429 overall.Sadly I feel this strategy has run it's course. Each week I appear to post extremely low scores only to find that I lose very little in the way of group or overall position. The problem is I have started to expect more out of my game, and picking (several) players that continually return low to negative scores, only to be saved by 3-4 players... two who score high and two return and "invested average" is leaving me with a very bad taste in my mouth each week.
What I am talking about are small changes and not an overall gutting of discounts and good players. I believe I need to get back to the basics, where a zero needs be avoided and "season keepers" are rare indeed. I believe it's not only the score you end up with at the end of the season that determines what type of year you had, but also what you were able to learn as a player along the way and right now I seem to be learning very little with my style of play.
