Think before pressing the Panic Button ........ !!!!

Stay connected for news and updates

How tempting it is the make those last minute changes to your team. When there is a rumour that one of your major signings "may be rested" and you see that other people are dropping that player based on these rumours so you decide drop him ..........

..... and then he plays and has an absolute blinder and bags 40 points. What I have learned this sesaon is not to make very late changes to your team as more often than not they don't pay off. The week before last was a classic example where there were convincing rumours that RVP and Ox were going to be rested. We all know what happened next....

This is my 2nd year of playing YFF and I am really enjoying it. Last year I made too many late changes to my team (many on a Friday night after a few beers) when for some reason you are overwhelmingly convinced that tomorrow Torres will bag a hat trick so you press the button and instantly realise that you have made a fatal error. Your worst fears are confirmed next day when Torres scores -5.

This year I have tried to adopt a much more measured and logical approach to picking my players and so far it seems to be paying off. I am currently in 55th place overall, thanks largely to this Blog (particular thanks to Nik). I think all of my teams are decided and saved by Friday

So, my advice for what it's worth is please think before you press that Big Red Panic button, you may be kissing goodbye to a bag-full of points ................
