Wes Brown out for Two Months
There was a lot of hand-wringing in yesterday's Barn Door Live chat about the lack of information on the status of Wes Brown's injury. *whew!* Well, now we know.
Sunderland defender Wes Brown is likely to be sidelined for eight weeks by his knee injury.
The former Manchester United man damaged a knee during Sunday's 1-1 FA Cup fourth round draw with Middlesbrough, and it was at first feared that his season could be over.
However, a scan has revealed that the damage may not be as extensive as was first thought.
Manager Martin O'Neill said: 'We don't think he needs the operation, but he will be two weeks in a brace, two weeks elsewhere and you are looking at probably about eight weeks before he is back.
So it looks like Michael Turner partnering John O'Shea for the medium term. Adjust your expectations accordingly.

Any thoughts on the value of Captain England’s mate, Wayne Bridge?

Feel a lot better now about dropping Brown back when both he and Verm got hurt at once and I couldn’t abide taking 2 zeros. Esp. wth Clark at 1.x in one of my other slots, and Taiwo coming in as another value option. With Krul at 3.x, the defense is pretty well covered for awhile, and I also have Ireland and Ox producing well for cheap in the MF.
The problem now is how to spend all that money in the remaining slots when most of the high priced options are hurt or underwhelming lately.
He's bad, he's bad, he's wesley brown
Well that makes that decision for me! Need to firm up my final striker and decide on my arsenal defender and I’m done.
