This season Newcastle United has been a fairly constant source of drama, injury, heartache, and surprisingly effective fantasy enablers. That doesn't look to stop before the season ends. We're back on the Magpies as they travel to Queens Park Rangers this weekend.
So what's the update?
MOUSSA Sissoko’s rated as doubtful Newcastle United’s visit to Loftus Road...
The club’s medical staff will also assess striker Shola Ameobi, who suffered a what looked to be a foot injury at Upton Park and left on crutches as a precaution.
Meanwhile, Massadio Haidara was ruled out of the West Ham game with a hamstring problem, and Pardew doesn’t feel he will be fit in time to be involved against QPR.
However, his fellow left back Davide Santon could make a quicker than expected recovery...
Right-back Mathieu Debuchy, suspended for the West Ham match after his dismissal against Liverpool, will be available for Loftus Road.
Sissoko's fantasy value has hinged almost entirely on one amazing performance against Chelsea. Other than that, there was a goal against Southampton two weeks later. But nothing since.
On the plus side, Debuchy comes into the reckoning as an excellent enabler. Eliot is also still dirt cheap even after posting a clean sheet against West Ham United.
