This is my first time playing Fantasy Premier League. So I have a strategy question. Namely, is it better to have two stud defenders and a worthless third defender, or should I try to spread the wealth.
My first go-through, my lineup was this:
Baines, Kompany, Wes Brown;
Michu, David Silva, Kevin Nolan, Lennon
Benteke, Hazard (c), RVP
(worthless bench with .43 left)
However, after reading K.M.'s post, I like the idea of adding Ashley Cole, and I had previously been on the borderline between Lennon and Coutinho. So keeping that in mind, I can swap out Lennon with Coutinho and get rid of Brown and Kompany for Cole. However, that leads a literal gaping hole in my defense, the best of which is reserve Steven Reid of West Brom.
So is it worth having two of the best fullbacks in football, especially with Cole's double game, and risk getting zero points from my last defender? Or just have a more balanced lineup like I originally had (there also was a combination of Cole, Zabaleta, Wes Brown--and Coutinho instead of Lennon)?
