Thankfully for many of us fantasy managers, it seems like we're in for the same kind of close to the season since points are so close. Getting 13 points off the bench following Yahoo's update for the postponed Crystal Palace - Everton game saw me jump more than 500 places in the global rankings, so if you're having a rough season by whatever standards you've set for yourself keep in mind there is still plenty of time to claw your way back to the top.
Speaking of the top, the action gets going today as league leaders Chelsea try to stave off the advances of Manchester City, Arsenal and even Liverpool with a home match against Everton. Here's the team news:
Chelsea: Cech; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta; Lampard, Matic; Willian, Oscar, Hazard, Eto'o
Everton: Howard, Baines, Distin, Jagielka, Coleman, Barry, McCarthy, Pienaar, Osman, Mirallas, Traore
The big news there is that Ross Barkley yet again has to settle for a place on the bench, while Frank Lampard gets a chance to show he's still capable of big game performances, which slightly devalues Hazard since Lamps will be on penalty duty.
Who do you think will come out victorious this weekend? How did your fantasy team turn out? For me, I kept the faith with the team I saved earlier in the week, though I was tempted to replace Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with my first bench option Joe Ledley at the last minute. Hopefully Ox comes through with some big points. Here's my team:
Foster, Kolarov, Koscielny, Vertonghen, Sterling, Brunt, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Toure, Giroud, Rooney, Suarez (c)
Bench: Ledley, Bertrand, Fabio, Guzan
Good luck everyone! I hope you have an excellent week! Finally, just for fun:
