I fully appreciate that there is no rhyme nor reason to what I am about to write but many of us will feel the same way.
It is the business end of the season and with five games to go Liverpool sit at the top of the league. This is their best showing in a long long time and they are playing brilliant attacking football, when not faced by Big Sams modern and progressive tactics. This is also my first season playing Fantasy Football and having had Sturridge since game week 1 and Suarez as soon as he was available I have been doing rather well.
To the logical mind these two things are in no way connected BUT to fans they are inextricably linked so much so that it leaves me in a bit of a sticky situation. Whilst I know logically that there is no correlation between my never choosing players from the teams facing Liverpool and always starting the SAS there is still a little voice that says changing those tactics at this late stage is an unnecessary risk.
So it becomes the YFF version of Pascals Wager. Emotionally I have far more to lose by changing tactics now than by seeing it out till the end of the season which means I can not have any City players for the DG week and must start SAS with Suarez as Captain. So whilst I fully expect to lose ground in the global rankings I hope I can still do ok and will certainly be able to live with myself.
However now you understand my absurd limitations I would appreciate any advice that the community can give on my options for this week and any stories of the things you do to avoid jinxing your teams/players.
My team currently is Howard, Baines, Mariappa (?!?) Bertrand , Coleman, Osman, Holtby, Ledley, SAS and the troll Lukaku
