The Fall of Brazil: Germany 7 - Brazil 1

With the loss of Neymar and Thiago Silva for the game against Germany, a lot of people wrote off Brazil but still said it would be a semi-close game, while some still had confidence in Brazil pulling it out in a thriller. Everyone was wrong.

The game started as you'd expect, Germany having possession while Brazil goes for some good attacks. That lasted for about 10 minutes. Minute 11 hits and once again, it's a set piece....Muller scores the first goal on a corner and Brazil is down early to the Germans.

Many expected a response and they did start attacking more, until the German counter-attack started...minute 23 hits and Germany takes the ball on midfield and runs up the field with Muller and they set up a pass play and Klose gets the open shot and drills it to the back of the net to give Germany the 2-0 lead! Klose has the record now with 16 all time goals in the World Cup. What a legend!

This exact same thing happened 3 more times.....3 counter-attacks, 3 defensive lapses, 3 goals, 5 minutes, two from Toni Kroos, the new Real Madrid midfielder, and another from Khedira.

The rest of the first half was as most Germany games are, possession and defensive play. The half ended and the score was a shocking 5-0.

The second half is underway and Brazil is coming out with some life surprisingly enough as they're on a full fledged attack mode, they're getting a lot of shots on goal but for some reason they kept shooting it straight at Neuer as if he wasn't on goal. Credit to him for making great stops but at least 3 of the chances they had were goals if shot not at him directly.

It looked like Brazil was set to score at least one goal during the game but sadly, it was, again another counter-attack that led to Schurrle scoring the 6th goal of the game.

The game slowed downa lot at this point and the young Julian Draxler was now in the game, and Germany was attacking almost as much as Brazil now. But in the end, it was another counter-attack and Schurrle puts in a clinical strike that hits the crossbar and bounces in to make it the 7-0 score, it's almost Super Bowl-esque at this point.

In the end the game would remain like this and the nightmare for Brazil finally ended, they can go home now, without any peace but still they can go home and forget about it, if the fans don't riot and force the players not to forget. Germany moves on to the final, and Brazil is left stunned. This World Cup is full of surprises and it's not even over yet.
