AM's Week 18 Player Picks

Merry Xmas from NMA!
Merry Xmas from NMA!

It's another very short post this week as I'm rushed off my feet with Xmas plans / family commitments (and will be for the next few days). Things will get back to normal for Week 19 with a full Player Picks post with analysis - thanks for your patience in the mean time.

Fixtures ...

Stand-Out
MANCHESTER UNITED v Wigan
LIVERPOOL v Blackburn
ARSENAL v Wolves
MANCHESTER CITY @ West Brom

Should-Win
CHELSEA v Fulham
NEWCASTLE @ Bolton
TOTTENHAM @ Norwich

Close/Draws
Stoke v Aston Villa
Sunderland v Everton
Swansea v QPR

So Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal & Man City appear to have the pick of the match-ups, followed by Chelsea, Newcastle & Spurs. Here are the players ...

KEEPERS
De Gea
Szczesny
Krul

DEFENDERS
Vermaelen
Smalling
Richards
Romeu
Brown
Wilson
Perch
Clark

MIDFIELDERS
Nani
Silva
Bale
Adam
Meireles
Drenthe
Gower
Valencia
Cabaye
Ramsey

STRIKERS
Van Persie
Suarez
Rooney
Sturridge
Aguero
Ba
Adebayor
Sinclair

If I get the chance to add any players analysis tomorrow then I will do.

My current team: De Gea, Clark, Brown, Vermaelen, Gower, Drenthe, Silva, Nani, Adebayor, Aguero, Rooney

I'm considering ways to bring in Romeu, Meireles, Ramsey, Suarez & Sturridge but with so many of my team performing well at huge discounts it's difficult to change anything. I scored 121.5 points in Week 17, moving me in to the Top 500 for the first time this season ... a nice early present from Santa!

Merry Christmas to all our readers and thanks for all your support. It really has been the catalyst for Never Manage Alone starting so strongly and we're looking forward to the blog continuing to grow in 2012.

How did Week 17 go for you? How's your team shaping up for Week 18?

Cheers, Nik
