It should be an interesting weekend all around the Premier League. Will Manchester United shrug off their streak of two straight losses with QPR on the docket or will the Rs respond to their change of manager? Speaking of managerial changes, will Chelsea rediscover their form from earlier in the season with Rafa at the helm? Will Arsenal be able to continue their revival (albeit one with some mitigating circumstances behind it between the Adebayor red card and Montpellier mediocrity)? Can the Wests - Brom and Ham - keep their early form going on the road?
Here are the line-ups I'll be following:
Yahoo.com - Ali Al-Habsi, Chris Smalling, Geoff Cameron, Maicon, Santi Cazorla, Michu, Raheem Sterling, Thomas Hitzlsperger, Lukas Podolski, Olivier Giroud, Robin van Persie.
PL.com - Amir Begovic, Leighton Baines, Rafael, Ashley Cole, Eden Hazard, Michu, Kevin Nolan, James Morrison, Damien Duff, Carlos Tevez (c), Dimitar Berbatov
If you're already looking ahead to next week's matches, here's the slate that you'll be choosing from with Manchester City, Sunderland's defense, Stoke's defense, and the attacks of Everton and Arsenal all looking like strong bets. I'll reserve my thoughts on Chelsea's advantage over Fulham until we see Week 1 of the Rafa Era. Derby matches are always tough and we just don't know what we'll get from the Blues right now.
Sunderland v QPR
Aston Villa v Reading
Chelsea v Fulham
Everton v Arsenal
Southampton v Norwich
Stoke City v Newcastle
Swansea v West Brom
Tottenham v Liverpool
Man Utd v West Ham
Wigan v Man City
OK, let's chat.
