It is a big blow to fantasy managers, but possibly a big opportunity.
John Ruddy just tweeted that he will be out for three months after undergoing surgery on a thigh injury.
Just to update everyone on my injury, unfortunately I have torn my thigh will be having surgery on saturday and out for up to 3 months, :(
Ruddy, along with the likes of Sebastien Bassong and Javier Garrido, had helped Norwich overcome their early-season defensive woes and had only allowed two goals in their last six matches. He was a very popular fantasy pick, especially in the official game.
Mark Bunn is likely to step in in Ruddy's absence. He did well for a stretch at Blackburn Rovers last season. In the Yahoo! game he's a dirt-cheap 1.10. Norwich's upcoming schedule looks favorable in the short term - Sunderland; @Swansea; Wigan; @West Brom - before hitting a rough patch - Chelsea; Manchester City over the holidays.
If you didn't move on Hugo Lloris at 2.09, or if you are worried about Spurs' keeper rotation policy, then Bunn could be a great investment for you.
