I need to update the injury listing now before the actual matches all happen and this becomes irrelevant. Case in point:

First, in case you missed it,

Now, on to today's news:

Jonny Howson completes Norwich City Reserves win over Wolves - Norwich City FC - Eastern Daily Press

The midfielder, who joined from Leeds United for a reported £2m at the turn of the year, has been out of action since the start of December with a knee injury. But after completing his rehabilitation and returning to first team training last week, the 23-year-old made his first public appearance in a yellow shirt – going the distance in City’s 3-2 second string win over a youthful Wolverhampton Wanderers.

And while gaining fitness was the clear aim of the afternoon, the slight-framed Howson still showed a composure and eagerness to break forward that is certain to add to Norwich’s Premier League mix when his first team debut finally arrives.

His appearance was right on schedule, having been pencilled in for a March return before making the switch from Championship to top flight.

Swansea City expecting Vorm to be fit for Wigan clash

SWANSEA City expect Michel Vorm to return to action at Wigan Athletic this weekend even though the Dutchman will miss his Wembley chance tonight.

Vorm has withdrawn from the Holland squad for this evening's friendly with England because of the virus which forced him to sit out Swansea's defeat at Stoke City last Sunday. But Brendan Rodgers expects his first-choice goalkeeper to be back up to speed in time for Saturday's trip to the DW Stadium.

"We think he should be fine for the weekend."

...The news is not so good for Vorm's fellow countryman Kemy Agustien. The midfielder picked up an ankle injury in training before the defeat by Norwich City earlier this month and has been ruled out for between three and five weeks having undergone minor surgery yesterday.

GLEN JOHNSON could yet be fit for Liverpool FC’s showdown with Arsenal on Saturday despite pulling out of the England squad.

Trio Back For Assessment

Stubbs Hails Fitness Boost

Alan Stubbs believes Leon Osman and Jack Rodwell are close to pushing for first-team returns after the duo featured for the reserves on Tuesday. Osman played 45 minutes and even scored, while Rodwell banked an hour during the 2-2 draw with Bolton’s second string And Stubbs feels both could be in the mix for selection as early as Saturday’s trip to QPR.

Van Persie set to feature for Dutch

Arsenal striker Robin van Persie looks set to play for Holland in Wednesday night’s friendly against England despite suffering an injury scare on Tuesday night.

Thomas doubt as Brunt lines up return

Albion winger Jerome Thomas is racing to be fit for Saturday’s Premier League clash with Chelsea – but captain Chris Brunt could be ready to step in. Thomas is touch and go for the Hawthorns meeting with the Blues after suffering a hamstring strain in Saturday’s 4-0 win at home to Sunderland.

Billy Jones is also struggling with a hamstring problem but Brunt hopes to be declared ready for a return after more two months out with a broken bone in his ankle.

Ramsey ruled out of Liverpool trip

Arsenal will be without Aaron Ramsey for their critical next two games. The midfielder, who injured his ankle in the FA Cup defeat to Sunderland 10 days ago, yesterday revealed he will be missing from Saturday's trip to Liverpool as well as the Champions League last-16 confrontation at the Emirates.

DanielAgger could miss crucial month of Liverpool FC's season after Carling Cup final rib injury

DANIEL AGGER fears missing a crucial month of Liverpool FC’s season after it emerged the defender suffered a cracked rib during Sunday’s Carling Cup triumph.

X-rays have confirmed the damage which forced Agger off four minutes from the end of normal time of the dramatic win over Cardiff City at Wembley. Agger withdrew from the Denmark squad to face Russia in a friendly this evening, and now faces up to four weeks on the sidelines.
