For those of you wondering why the slight change in headlines (going from descriptions of the match action to the much more basic description of what we'll be doing), there is a reason. We have recently been added to a UK news aggregator called NewsNow. In an effort to make it clear to those who see the titles of our posts in among a bunch of others, we are trying to be a bit more obvious for at least a little while. Just an effort to let other people know we're here.
On to the weekend in the league so far. It was certainly an odd one with Arsenal and City dropping points where they were expected to win them yesterday. For City, it was really tragic as they are in a tooth and nail struggle with United who have an easier run-in. For Arsenal, you sort of knew this was coming at some point after a run of seven straight wins. That doesn't make it good but over the last two months they had given themselves some cushion that made the loss at QPR less tragic.
As far as fantasy goes, it was generally better to NOT be invested in yesterday where the enablers (Lichaj, Diakate, etc) did better than the studs who were either injured (Aguero), absent (Tevez), or ineffective (lots to choose from).
With Newcastle/Liverpool and Spurs/Swansea today there should be some opportunities for redemption for people with Papiss Cisse, Hatem Ben Arfa, Rafael van der Vaart, etc.
Just a reminder, I'm on:
