Once more into the breach my friends. It is true, we have finally arrived at the last day of group stage matches. England and France are the headliners today but co-hosts Ukraine still have a chance to go through if they can get a result.
Apparently my brain wasn't working yesterday and I didn't sub in Buffon (and his clean sheet) for Anderson (and his one point). Not happy about that at all. Just goes to show how careful you have to be when you're playing an unfamiliar format.
In an admittedly desperate attempt to recover from that error, I've moved my captaincy from Ozil to Benzema. My hope is that Benzema has been the CRon of Group D. He's had a ton of chances but not quite cashed them in. Here's hoping he goes for a brace and makes me happy with the captain's points.
Outside of Benzema, I'll also be fielding Jolean Lescott and Martin Olsson.
