Well, we can look at yesterday's match this way - it would be hard for today to be less compelling and exciting. Honestly, the only real talking point from yesterday for me was "How do you arrange your penalty-takers and NOT have Cristiano Ronaldo take one before Spain wins?" Just baffling. I get the "anchor man" concept and that you'd love to have him take your last one to (theoretically) win the match. That said, if it never gets to that point then what good is it to have kept that powder dry?
In any event, we're on to Germany vs. Italy. I'm featuring Mario Gomez, Sami Khadira, Jerome Boateng, Andrea Pirlo, Antonio Cassano, and Ricardo Montolivo from this match.
Here's hoping they perform well and the match is more interesting to watch.
