Well, at least we won't have the weekly, "is he back this week?" tease as we've gotten for so many injured Premier League players. (Paging Mr. Stanic. Mr. Mario Stanic.)
So for now we're likely to see a continuation of the Jan Vertonghen/William Gallas partnership. However, it wouldn't shock me if we started seeing more of Steven Caulker as the aging Frenchman probably doesn't have too much left in the tank.
One other knock-on impact could be any transfer for Michael Dawson. Queens Park Rangers was bidding quite a bit of money for him, but now Spurs may feel that they need him more than the money. Though with the signings that they're courting... they may need the money after all.
