There hasn't been the usual over-hyping of today's matches with a "big" nickname like Showdown Sunday or Rivalry Sunday or something of the sort. Maybe this is because it's so early in the season, maybe because Liverpool aren't up to their end of the Manchester United and Liverpool rivalry this season and Manchester City are too new to the elite to have serious rivalries with teams not named Manchester United. Regardless of naming the weekend or not, there are some great matches coming up today and I'm sure all of us have many players going for our teams.
Here are a couple of the questions I'll be looking at as the matches unfold:
- How does Shinji Kagawa look? He's had one good match where he hasn't produced much in terms of fantasy points, one good match where he did, and has been an outside figure in the other two. For him to justify his place in my line-up the consistency of appearance and performance has to start making itself apparent.
- Arsenal's First Big Test - The Gunners have started the season unbeaten but they haven't had a really big test quite yet. Montpelier certainly outplayed them in mid-week but the Gunners still pulled off the win. The question for me is whether Arsenal's defenders can continue their solidity against bigger talents.
- Cazorla, Kagawa, Snodgrass, Rafael, Tevez, and Maicon - That's who I have playing in one or the other of my FEPL teams (Tevez, Cazorla, Kagawa, and Maicon in Yahoo and Snodgrass, Rafael, and Tevez in PL.com)
