So we finally get our postponed Arsenal - West Ham match, and it's going to be lively! Even the team sheets contain surprises.
Arsenal team: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Ramsey, Wilshere, Cazorla, Walcott, Podolski, Giroud. #AFCvWHU— Arsenal.com (@Arsenal) January 23, 2013
West Ham United starting XI: Jaaskelainen, Demel, O'Brien, Reid, Tomkins, Noble, Taylor, Nolan, Collison, Vaz Te, C.Cole #COYI #WHULINEUP— West Ham United FC (@whufc_official) January 23, 2013
So Joe Cole and Matt Jarvis are on the bench for West Ham after producing more crosses in a Premier League match than any other. Mamadou Diame also benched in a match where he could have RUN THE MIDFIELD against Arsenal's light-weight trio. That's an amazing decision, but I guess Big Sam has an older, and not match-fit squad.
Meanwhile, speaking of match fit, Arsenal bring back Lukas Podolski, you is owned by 25% of fantasy teams in the Y! game - 10% of whom have added him just for this week. That's an amazing number to me. Neither Abou Diaby or Francis Coquelin are fit and so we get the aforementioned lightweight trio of Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey, and Sanit Cazorla. I guess that means Wilshere is back to a deeper role, which is unfortunate for fantasy managers.
Good luck to you, whomever you have on your team. What scenario(s) are you rooting for today?
