Week 15 Fantasy Premier League Live Chat

Hello everyone! We're fast approaching the half way point of the season, and the table is still yet to settle into any sort of separation between the teams in the top half of the table or the teams in the bottom half. With a number of the top teams facing each other this weekend, we could start to get an idea of who will be in good shape to challenge for European places in the new year and who will be more likely to languish in mid-table unless they do some good work in the January transfer window.

I'm up very early after a tacky Christmas sweater party last night, so I apologize for the short article leading into this week's matches. But hey, maybe that's best after the long-winded stuff I've been putting out over the past month (has it already been a month?). Let me know if you like the longer format articles or if it's too much to read. I can be concise (I promise...). Anyway, let's get to team news for the early kickoff:

Manchester United: De Gea, Rafael, Evans, Vidic, Evra, Januzaj, Cleverley, Jones, Nani, Hernandez, van Persie.

Bench: Lindegaard, Ferdinand, Anderson, Valencia, Young, Zaha, Welbeck.

Newcastle: Krul; Debuchy, Williamson, Coloccini (c), Santon; Cabaye, Tiote, Anita; Sissoko, Remy, Gouffran.

Bench: Elliot, Yanga-Mbiwa, Obertan, Gutierrez, Ben Arfa, Shola Ameobi, Cisse.

With the news that Robin van Persie is back in the starting lineup, I've dropped Eden Hazard and Frank Lampard (who weren't sure bets to start) in order to bring in RVP and Nani. I've settled on the following for this week:

Myhill, Ward, G. Johnson, B. Davies, Coutinho, Nani, Shelvey, Yaya, Aguero, Suarez (c), RVP

Bench: Oviedo + Fillers

I'm hopeful Oviedo won't burn me on the bench again after leaving him there in Week 14, only for Debuchy to get -1. I've also drafted in Glen Johnson at the last minute to have coverage for the potential Liverpool clean sheet. Hopefully Stephen Caulker doesn't make me regret dropping him.

For next week, we should be looking at players from Chelsea, Everton, Manchester United and perhaps West Ham and Hull as well. As always, good luck this week! If you're still in the Blog Cup, I hope you make it through to the next round!
