The Barn Door Live: Chatting Fantasy EPL Week 30

It may not have been an entertaining Saturday but it was eventful between Everton beating City, Southampton beating Liverpool, Arsenal getting 3 crucial points on the road, and United going 15 points clear at the top. How will Spurs and Chelsea respond today? We'll be here with you to find out.

Will he reward his owners against the Hammers?

So, how is it going to work out? I dropped Wayne Rooney (and his 16 points) on Friday because I wanted to get away from Artur Boruc in net because I was worried about Boruc against Liverpool. My solution was moving Boruc, Rooney, and Jenkinson to Hugo Lloris, Carlos Tevez and Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa. Um, ouch. Boruc, as it turns out, was fine as he put up 11.5 points (I had him at a cost of 1.00) while Rooney put up 16 and Jenkinson put up 16. Unless Lloris and MYM have big matches this will go a long way to me just not logging in to Yahoo on Fridays in future weeks and seasons.

As we look ahead to today's matches, the big matches in the real world is Spurs hosting Fulham and Chelea hosting West Ham. With Arsenal and Everton winning Spurs and Chelsea will feel a little pressure to maintain the margins keeping them in the final two Champions League spots. Spurs are fairly safe for now but Chelsea will be a mere 2 points clear of Arsenal if they fail to pick up points against the injury-riddled Hammers.

Chelsea and Newcastle are likely to be the two big fantasy focal points with Eden Hazard, Juan Mata, Demba Ba, Moussa Sissoko, Yoan Gouffran and Mathieu Debuchy among the popular picks.
