Wednesday Groundskeeping

Your daily round-up of the world of football (soccer), from a fantasy manager point-of-view.

Andy Lyons

This edition of Groundskeeping has fewer links than usual. I spent all day hiding away from the world so that I could watch the Champions League matches at night without knowing what happened. I thoroughly enjoyed Manchester United/Real Madrid - what a match! But at the end, leading into the broadcast of the Dortmund/Shaktar match, not only did they run the final score and goal scorers in the ticker across the bottom of the screen, but they showed highlights and the panel discussed the match! Why would they do that when they were showing the match not two minutes later?

Needless to say, I was furious. I vented through a series of foul-mouthed tweets, which I'll re-publish here for posterity:

Did anyone else fall for the same thing? Surely I'm not the only idiot. Anyway, on to the news:
