I have to say I'm still in limbo over my team as I write this on Friday late afternoon on the East Coast of the US. I'm heavy on Liverpool, which I'm not happy about because I don't think they'll do well against Spurs even thought the match is at Anfield. The problem is that a) I can't afford to get to Bale; b) most of the rest of the options are mediocre; and c) I have some strong LIV discounts that I'd like to keep.
Here's how I'm lining up for now:
Artur Buroc, Nemanja Vidic, Ian Harte, Marc Wilson, Santi Cazorla, Michu, Gaston Ramirez, Philippe Coutinho, Daniel Sturridge, Romelu Lukaku, Luis Suarez
I doesn't make me particularly happy but the alternative is ripping it all down and creating a team consisting of Gareth Bale and some spare parts. One of these weekends Bale is going to have a relatively modest single digit match (an 8 or a 9 is completely respectable when you don't score a goal UNLESS your price is over 35) and with my luck, this is the weekend so I'm not going to test fate.
For all of you Liverpool supporters, I'm with you this weekend because I want the fantasy points and I want Spurs to drop points. To the same people, I'm sorry in advance because what I have wanted this season hasn't come to pass very often.
