Sunday + Monday (Week 17) LIVE CHAT

What a blistering start to Week 17 we have had! Manchester City's strikerless formation paid dividends versus Crystal Palace, albeit in the second half as James Milner continued to play the 'Jack of all Trades' role. Charlie Austin's 11 goals in 15 has given QPR fuel to avoid the drop. United 'dropped' 2pts to 10 man Villa with Falcao reminding us he is still alive and able to score. What do we have in store for Sunday? Just the bone crunching Tyne-Wear Derby followed by the crucial Anfield clash between Liverpool and Arsenal. Lets chat!

We certainly have the makings of a massive week for many fantasy managers. Just looking over the leagues, many find themselves with 80-100pts after Saturdays matches largely thanks to the contributions of the one man wrecking ball that is Charlie Austin. 3 goals at home to West Bromwich afforded those who invested with a pretty cool 42pts. Silva also chipped in with a neat 24pts as he capitolized on the space opened by Milner's tireless runs to bag a brace. Throw in Clean sheets for Southampton, Manchester City, and West Ham, of whom many of us had starting defenders, and you have yourself one heck of a prolific Saturday. The only fact that makes this week even better is that many fantasy managers still have 3-4 players left to go, largley from Chelsea's Monday battle at Stoke City.

With the Tyne-Wear Derby set to kick off followed by the decisive Anfield show down between Liverpool and Arsenal, we are certainly set up for more drama in Week 17. I am not sure how to call either of these matches but I can tell you that neither will be like their counterparts last season! Brendan Rodgers will be under a mountain of pressure if Liverpool cant get a result against Arsenal, something that is crucial to guiding the Red's season back on track. It will be worth watching Raheem Sterling in his advanced role as the boxing day match away to Burnley looms on the horizon. How Liverpool react in this match will determine how much investment many managers will be willing to make during the fixture pile up in the festive period. This one is on you Mr. Rodgers!

My week has started great even without Austin's 42pts. I sit on 81pts with Sanchez, Costa, Fabregas, and Courtois to go with Jones ready to fill in should the Belgian star not make the cut. I will be hoping for the best result at Anfield, a win, Clean Sheet and 10 SOT from Sanchez!
