Week 31 Outs, Doubts, Ins and Wins

It's always a challenge to provide injury news for a double game week, with rotation playing a big role and also the possibility of unexpected injuries during the first of the two matches. That said, there is some confirmed news we can rely on for at least the first match, so let's dive right in.

No RVP for the Double Week...Does this make Rooney a must-have?
No RVP for the Double Week...Does this make Rooney a must-have?

With 10 teams in action twice this week, you should be filling your fantasy squad with double gamers, so that's where I'll be focused on injury news. You really shouldn't be going for single game players unless you absolutely need the funds and have multiple players like Bertrand available for 1.

Hopefully everyone is familiar with this system by now, but just in case, here's a breakdown:

Out: Fantasy-relevant players who have been confirmed out for the week, either through injury or suspension

Doubt: Players facing the dreaded late fitness test, rotation concerns and those who are out of form/favor

In: The likeliest replacements for the Outs & Doubts

Win: Fantasy player to watch / my hunch pick of the week

I've had the same saved team all week and am trying hard to resist the temptation to change it, but the news that Robin Van Persie is out has put the idea of choosing Wayne Rooney back in my mind. Here's where I currently stand:

McGregor, Baines, C. Davies, Dummett, Yaya, Silva, Gerrard, Ox, Carroll, Sturridge, Suarez

As I mentioned above, I'm strongly considering Rooney in place of Sturridge, but I also am thinking of getting some Liverpool defensive coverage by bringing in Glen Johnson instead of Curtis Davies. Those two decisions will likely be up in the air until much closer to the deadline. How is your team shaping up? Good luck, everyone!
