What a day we have ahead of us, with implications for all areas of the table. With everything still to play for in the title race, the Champions League qualification places and the relegation battle, this weekend promises to be a thrilling one for all involved.
We kick off the weekend with an enticing match between Everton and Southampton, with Roberto Martinez's men pushing hard to pip Arsenal to that coveted fourth place spot. Southampton have been safe and haven't had much to play for in quite some time, but they don't seem like a side to go through their paces and coast into the close season, especially with a number of World Cup hopefuls still looking to solidify their place on the plane to Brazil in June.
I've decided to avoid this match in favor of some of the more enticing (at least on paper) games for my fantasy team this week. Here's what I settled on:
Foster, Koscielny, Kompany, Alonso, Sterling, Ramsey, Holtby, Eriksen, Aguero, Suarez, Rooney (c)
I don't think I've seen anyone else with Ben Foster, so hopefully that decision will work out as a good differential pick. I wavered on who to choose as captain until this morning, but ultimately followed my inclination from earlier in the week and reverted to Wayne Rooney. With many good captain choices this week, there could be a big shift in the standings depending on how the likes of Aguero, Ramsey, Suarez and the aforementioned Rooney perform.
How did your team shape up? Who are you looking at for next week's double game week? For your reference, the teams playing twice in Week 37 are:
As always, good luck and let's chat!
