What a season we've had this year, both in real life and here at Never Manage Alone. I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity I've had to join the team here, and hope I've been able to provide some valuable insight throughout the season.
With the title still possible for the two teams at the top of the league, there is still a lot of drama likely to play out over the course of the next few hours. Brendan Rodgers and his charges will be depending on an unlikely West Ham victory to have any chance at claiming their 20th league title, but it's not over 'til the fat lady sings.
Manuel Pellegrini only needs his team to draw to secure the title unless Liverpool manage to put 13 or more goals past Newcastle, but the Chilean manager has stated his team will play for the win and you surely have to believe him when he says so.
Regardless of today's result, this season has to go down as a huge success for Liverpool and it gives me great hope for the future of the club. Hopefully they'll be able to bring in some much-needed depth and keep hold of the likes of Luis Suarez, Daniel Agger, Martin Skrtel, etc.
In terms of fantasy, I've gone a bit sentimental by choosing Andy Carroll to lead the line with Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge. I'm sure I'm one of just a few to have gone that route, but I've had good luck with my differential picks of late and hope they can continue. If not, I've still had a great fantasy season and will almost surely finish inside the top 1,000, if not the top 500. Here's my week 38 team in full:
Howard, Skrtel, Luiz, Johnson, Sterling, Toure, Barkley, Henderson, Sturridge, Carroll, Suarez (c)
How did your team shape up? What are you hoping for on the final day of the season? Thank you all for your participation in this wonderful community throughout the season. Stay tuned this summer for World Cup fantasy, transfer speculation, fantasy game updates and much more!
