Fantasy players to watch
Mark Bresciano
The teams class player. Whilst he hasn't made it in europe in quite the way he may have he remains the player who controls Australias play.
Mile Jedinak
Finished the Premier League in strong form and has a surprising 1 goal in 10 for his country.
Tim Cahill
31 goals in 67 is pretty impressive from old favourite Tim. The legs have gone but the brain is still ticking. He will be a danger at any set play.
Josh Kennedy
17 in 35 games and the match winner against Iraq in the final qualifier he may have to settle for a bench role.
Conclusions
I think you can guess I don't like Australia's chances. It is not just the lack of talent but the group is a footballing nightmare. I really can see three defeats by more than one goal. I will say you can never right off that Aussie Aussie Aussie refusal to give up.
