We're coming down to the exciting conclusion to the 2014 World Cup, and it has to be the best tournament I can remember. Anything can happen, as evidenced by Costa Rica's run into the last eight and Germany's near scare against Algeria.
If the other matches in the tournament are anything to go by, we should have a couple cracking fixtures today as Lionel Messi and Argentina take on Xherdan Shaqiri and Switzerland. Both men have put in impressive, match-winning performances so far, and it will be interesting to see which Swiss team shows up - the one that was demolished against France, or the one where Shaqiri is scoring a hat-trick from flowing attacking play.
The same can be said for the final Round of 16 encounter between the US and Belgium. Will we see Belgium dominant in attack, or will they stagnate and open themselves to the counter-attack from Jurgen Klinsmann's squad? Will Jozy Altidore return from injury to lead the line for the stars and stripes, or will Clint Dempsey again be tasked the the lone forward role?
The answers to these questions and more are just around the corner. Let's chat!
