Week 6 Saturday Live Chat: Derby Day

We've got a full slate of matches on tap in the Barclays Premier League today, beginning with one of the most anticipated fixtures of every season - the Merseyside Derby. Are you ready for the action?

Alex Livesey

After a shocking Week 5 that saw both Liverpool and Everton fall to defeat against what should be considered lesser competition, this week kicks off with a match where both Merseyside teams will be anxious to put things right and kick start their season.

Both teams have had trouble defending, while Liverpool have struggled to mount much of an attacking threat in the absence of Daniel Sturridge. The England striker misses out again today, and Rodgers has lined up in a 4-5-1/4-3-3 with the pressure on Mario Balotelli to lead the line. The one-striker system hasn't fared well for the Reds so far, but it may be more due to the Italian striker taking a bit of time to settle into his new surroundings than anything else.

For Everton, Roberto Martinez has some injury concerns of his own as Seamus Coleman misses out through injury. Veteran Tony Hibbert takes his place at right back, while new boy Muhamed Besic gets his first start after an inauspicious start to life in the Premier League a few weeks back against Chelsea.

All but four teams will be in action today, as West Bromwich Albion and Burnley face off tomorrow before Stoke City and Newcastle United close out the week on Monday night. What are your predictions for the day's matches?

From a fantasy perspective, I need a good week after Tim Howard's -15 points took me from the cusp of a triple-digit score down to 84 points last weekend. Here's where I've settled:

Forster, Trippier, Mangala, Ivanovic, Di Maria, Tadic, Sigurdsson, Matic, Ulloa, Dzeko, Costa

I am really liking the differential picks of Nemanja Matic and Edin Dzeko, and have bench cover in Aaron Cresswell, Martin Kelly and Matty Phillips in case any of my starters miss out. Who have you gone with for your team? What is your goal for the week? Let's chat!
