It's all still to play for as we head into the second leg matches of the Capital One Cup Semi-Finals, with Liverpool set to take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this afternoon before Tottenham Hotspur travel to Bramall Lane to clash with Sheffield United.
The first-leg of today's match was an enthralling encounter at Anfield, with Brendan Rodgers' men arguably putting in their strongest display of the 2014/15 season. It took a heroic performance from Thibaut Courtois to keep the Reds at bay following Raheem Sterling's second-half equalizer to Eden Hazard's early penalty. The Blues carry a vital away goal with them back to Stamford Bridge for today's match and will be desperate to keep Liverpool off the score sheet.
Even if the Reds don't score in regular time, they won't be eliminated if they can also keep Chelsea from scoring, as away goals won't come into play until after extra time. In any case, Liverpool will need to score at least one goal away to Chelsea at some point during the match if they have any hope of making it to the final.
Kickoff is at 7:45pm GMT / 2:45pm EST, with coverage available on Sky Sports 1 in the UK and beIN Sport in the US.
Following today's match, Tottenham will take their 1-0 advantage from their first-leg encounter into Wednesday's second-leg match against Sheffield United. The Blades will need to score at least once in front of their home fans to cancel out Andros Townsend's match-winning penalty at White Hart Lane last week.
With all of the drama that took place in the FA Cup over the weekend, Sheffield United will be confident they can get a result against the North London club, so Spurs will need to be cautious not to show any complacency given their slight advantage.
Kickoff is again at 7:45pm GMT / 2:45pm EST, with coverage available on Sky Sports 1 in the UK. There is currently no television coverage for the match available Stateside, though live updates will be available on the Capital One Cup Twitter account.
