Aguerrrrrrrrooo - oh nooooooooo

A few days after five star Kun brought a smile to many fantasy fans faces the injury curse returns.

He was never going to last many games before he got injured but the timing is rubbish

Week 8 saw a fantasy classic performance from Sergio "Kun" Aguero with a five goal haul against Newcastle.  Even if you missed picking him for the magpies game you surely picked him up ready for week 9 and a home game against Bournemouth.

The problem with building your side around players like Kun is his consistent injury problems and just 22 minutes into the World Cup qualifying 2-0 defeat against Ecuador Aguero was carried of with an injury.  A grade-two muscle tear could see him miss up to 8 weeks.

The injury is a big blow to Manchester City who face a must win game against Sevilla in the Champions League and an away derby at Manchester United over the next fortnight.

Its gets worse for the league leaders.  Playmaker David Silva was also taken off after 10 minutes playing for Spain against Luxembourg.  With Yaya Toure and Vincent Kompany both trying to get over injury, there will be some nervous eyes watching Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne in the next few days.

Elsewhere despite coming off with a groin issue last week Alexis Sanchez travelled and played the full 90 minutes against Brazil.  Typically the white hot Sanchez scored in the 2-0 Chile win.  He travels to Peru next for the next fixture on Wednesday.   Could he be rested for Saturday nights Watford game?

We are not even half way through the international fixtures but my fantasy sides are already needing significant surgery.

Post international week makes picking a fantasy side very tricky, something tells me week 9 may just be one of those weeks many of the game's big names face reduced playing time or no time at all.

How has the early injuries affected your sides?
