Fantasy Watchlist: Aleksandar Mitrovic

New, comments

With two players sent off for Serbia in the EURO 2016 game against Portugal, and Mitrovic, surprisingly, not one of them, there is hope that things are looking up for the young forward and those brazen enough to pick him.

Aleksandar Mitrovic completed a £13 off-season move from the Belgian giants Anderlecht to Newcastle. Things have not turned out as expected for the 21 year old Serbian early on in the Barclay's Premier League campaign, as the youngster received two yellow cards and one red in just six Premier League appearances, and the Magpies are currently dead last on the goal difference with Sunderland.

There is some optimism, however. Mitrovic worked hard, moved well and looked very dangerous in front of Joe Hart's goal, ending up on the score sheet against Manchester City. He is currently averaging 1.67 shots per game, the highest among the Newcastle players. The best news to consider, however, is Newcastle's upcoming schedule:

NORWICH, Sunderland, STOKE, Bournemouth, LEICESTER CITY, Crystal Palace.

Not to shabby, if you ask me. Priced at 6.2 in the Official Game, 6,980 in Fantrax and just $6,000 in DraftKings, the Serbian could become an impact player especially in your Daily Fantasy Sports for cash teams.  With Moussa Sissoko and Georginio Wijnaldum providing service from the flanks and Ayoze tucked right behind Mitrovic, expect #45 to continue his goal scoring streak.

Sani.
