What a week we've had! There are a number of high-profile stories evolving heading into the midway point of this Barclays Premier League campaign, but none more exciting and contentious than the manager situation at Chelsea.
Jose Mourinho is out after the worst start to a season for defending champions. Whether he was right that the players forced him out or if it was merely a matter of the results not being there, it's time for the London club to move on from The Special One yet again.
There is news this morning of a replacement being named, with another former Chelsea manager, Guus Hiddink, set to take the reigns for at least the rest of the season. It will be interesting to see how the Dutchman changes the tactics and personnel for the second half of the season, and we'll be keeping an eye on how things develop to bring you some insight into the Blues' fantasy prospects from here on out.
That brings us up to speed to matchday, where we'll have our first chance at seeing what Chelsea look like without Mourinho. Eden Hazard is also absent this morning, though it seems likely he is still suffering the effects of the hip injury his manager criticized him for last weekend.
Lest you think this is all about Chelsea, we've also got six other matches on tap for this Saturday, culminating in an all-important match between Newcastle and Aston Villa. Let us know your thoughts on which teams will be victorious, and be sure to share your fantasy teams as well!
As always, good luck and happy chatting!
