All the headlines have been focusing on the incredible form of Leicester City this season, but newly promoted Watford FC have been equally impressive over the past month, recording four Barclays Premier League wins in a row, including a comprehensive 3-0 dismantling of Liverpool on Sunday.
The impressive defensive form of the Hornets, particularly at Vicarage Road, has been highlighted as a reason for their success, but there's plenty of power in the attacking areas as well. Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney comprise a formidable strike partnership, and it was Ighalo who shone brightest once again facing the Merseysiders this past weekend.
Quique Sanchez Flores' men got off to a flying start when fellow player of the week contender Nathan Ake opened the scoring after just two minutes. Ighalo took the reigns from there, outpacing and outmuscling Martin Skrtel on his way to finishing his first from a tight angle, and getting the better of Mamadou Sakho time and again throughout the match until the embarrassment was completed with a headed effort for his brace to seal the win and all three points late in the second half.
Fantasy managers have been coming around to the Hornets, though it has been a guessing game of late as to which of the strikers will return more points. On current form, though, it wouldn't be a bad idea to have both!
Here are all the highlights from Watford's impressive win over Liverpool, which has vaulted them into 7th place in the table and just one point off the top 4 at Christmas:
