When picking your players each and every week, many people advise selections based on good form and a good fixture. So with the form element in minds, lets take a look a few players whose form is hot and few who form is not.
Freezing cold
Wayne Rooney
Rooneys current form is is a sorry thing to see as a fan. One the leagues most committed and entertaining players when playing the no10 role or even as the lead forward. His manager may have made him captain but that hasn't made him a certainty for his best position. Instead he has burdened him with the role designed to compensate for the team's midfield weakness. Incredibly he even ended up in defensive midfield against Burnley.
A final stat to put you off picking him up as one of your forward picks - No shot on target in 2015
Needless to say his fantasy points output has taken a bash. His last 4 games reads 6pts, 6pts, -2pts, 1pt. Now down to under 12m to buy in Yahoo Fantasy Football he has become unpickable.
Kevin Mirallas
On his return from injury, Miralles immediately brought a spark to the Everton attack that had been missing in his absence. The problem came on a monday evening when he somehow overruled his teammates and you have to assume, his manager, on who would be no1 penalty taker. Of course he missed and the moment changed his run of form entirely.
His 4 game run has provided this sequence of fantasy points 1pts, -1pts, 0pts, 3pts
David Silva
One more player than proved opposite to the rule you need to get match fit on return from injury. With Kun out the little magician went on a goal scoring run over the holidays.
Silva though is one of those players who can continue to play well, at times really well but not rack up any decent fantasy points (aren't these the worst). His 4 game run is 2pts, 5pts, 1pt, 4pts
With the return of Yaya Toure, Kun Aguero and Samir Nasri he may struggle to hit to hit the big point further.
Graziano Pelle
At one point Pelle seemed one of those possible season keepers. A perfect foil for the attacking midfielders running off and around him he started the season well. Now in a run of no goals in 10 league games he needs a little luck.
His last 4 games show -1pt, 3pts, 0pts and 10 fantasy points. The last score included 4 SOT so maybe he is due to come out of his rut soon.
Hot
Mesut Ozil
Ozil is clearly a favorite of his manager and may be a close to undroppable as you can be in the Arsenal side under Wenger. Once again he didn't need games to get match fit/sharp - is this a myth?
His last 3 games show 17pts, 15pts and 16pts scored. Add to that a cup goal and those of you who picked him up at around 5m have been well rewarded.
Eden Hazard
Chelsea play super efficient football but often just lack the glory and glamour of a champion. That where this guy comes in. A truly fantastic player capable of every skill you could want and a workrate second to none.
His last 4 fantasy scores are 10pt, 10pt, 16pts and 14pts. Hazard offers you a consistency in your picks and somewhere, sometime this season his 30pt game is coming.
Brown Ideye
Ideye could be the first example at West Bromwich Albion of the Tony Pulis man management effect. I said Pelle needed some luck well Ideye did. Bar from some financial complications Ibeye wouldn't even be at WBA and Carlton Cole would be.
4pts and 20pts in his last two fantasy games and he has 4 goals in 3 games in all competitions. Next up is Sunderland away where if Queens Park Rangers can win and score twice then so can a player and team full of confidence.
Harry Kane
The league's hottest of all players. Just take a look at this educations video of his performance v the Gunners two weeks ago.
27pts, 24pts 18pts are his last 3 fantasy games includes a brace against Arsenal, a brace at WBA and a goal and assist and Liverpool. Maybe then he hasn't added Luis Suarez phantoms to his game but he is as hot as you will get right now.
