Week 27 Premier League Pre-Deadline Chat

Decisions, decisions... This is the best way to describe this Game Week. Krul vs. Heaton vs. Begovic? Ings vs. Rooney vs. Sakho? Who will come through and who will be a dud?

First things first, Game Week 28 is a double game week for Tottenham and Queens Park Rangers. Furthermore, Manchester City (Leicester City), Arsenal (QPR), Southampton (Crystal Palace) and Liverpool (Burnley) have good match-ups, so consider holding on to / having some players from those teams along with your double gamers. Now on to the week at hand...

West Ham vs. Crystal Palace

The early game of the weekend and the one where you should have at least two, if not three, West Ham players. The popular choices would be Adrian, Aaron Cresswell, Carl Jenkinson, Stewart Downing, and Diafra Sakho.

Burnley vs. Swansea

This one has "goals" written all over it. As a result, I would not hesitate to have players from both teams, in particular: Kieran Tripper (if you have him at a discount, as he is too expensive at retail), George Boyd and Danny Ings from Burnley, and Gylfi Sigurdsson from Swansea.

Manchester United vs. Sunderland

You should have Wayne Rooney. With Robin Van Persie and James Wilson out, Rooney will  line up along Falcao as a striker. He is also the cheapest he has been (and will be) at 10.87.

Newcastle vs. Aston Villa

Neither team boats a super impressive goal scoring record but both teams are fairly sound defensively when they play teams from the lower part of the table. Having either Tim Krul or Brad Guzan with Jores Okore as a cheap enabling defender is a pretty good idea.

Stoke City vs. Hull

This one will likely be a snooze fest, but it will be a hard fought game. Having defensive players from Stoke like Asmir Begovic, Phil Bardsley and Philipp Wollschied could pay off.

West Bromwich Albion vs. Southampton

Ryan Bertrand is back, priced at 8.60 and he should be in your starting 11. As far as other player from both sides, I am not convinced. Dusan Tadic has been a shadow of his former and, as a result, lost his starting spot. Sadio Mane is the only Southampton player I would recommend but thread cautiously as West Brom does not concede many at home.

Liverpool vs. Manchester City

120 minutes in the mid-week, coming off a loss to Besiktas, chances are we may see some tired Liverpool players. Sergio Aguero should be a lock for this one. For those wanting to gamble, Yaya Toure is priced at 8.08.

Arsenal vs. Everton

How will Arsenal react after a humiliating loss at home against Monaco? My guess is that the team will show some resilience and go at Everton for full 90 minutes. Alexis Sanchez, Santi Cazrola, Mesut Ozil/Theo Walcott, Olivier Giroud are all good picks for this one.

My current team is: Krul, Cresswell, Kompany, Okore, Boyd, Di Maria, Downing, Mane, Sanchez, Aguero, Rooney, with Sinclair, Kelly, Upson and Schwarzer on the bench. Let's chat...
