Week 8 Major League Soccer Fantasy Live Chat

New, comments

We've got a new game to get used to, with new scoring acronyms and points to familiarize ourselves with. Follow along as we see what shakes out across Major League Soccer this weekend.

Harry Shipp was a last-minute addition to my team. I like his chances against a depleted NYCFC side.

It'll be a challenge for us to break out of our typical stream of acronyms in the live chat threads as we adjust to the scoring in the official MLS Fantasy game, with no "SOT" or "CW" points available for the players in the new (for us) format.

That said, Captains are back and there are Bonus Points available as well, so we've got some good things to account for the loss of some of our favorite scoring metrics from the stricken Yahoo Fantasy game.

League Codes

There's still time to join both of the leagues below before scoring kicks in for Week 8. The deadline to save your team is at 8:00 p.m. EDT, so be sure to create your team before kickoff in tonight's Chicago Fire - New York City FC match!

You can join the Fashionably Late league with the Private League Code 3414-5341.

I have also set up a Beat the Bloggers league. Use Private League Code 28261-5366 to join.

Octavio Rivero, Bradley Wright-Phillips, Kei Kamara (c)
