Now that your fantasy teams are set (and hopefully full of double-gamers), it's time to turn our attention to the Premier League itself and follow along to see if you made the correct investments for your starting 11. Match day 31 kicks off with what could be a crucial match in the race for the Top 4 as Liverpool travel to face Arsenal at the Emirates. A second-straight loss for the Reds would be devastating to their hopes of a late push for European qualification, but a win could put them right back in contention, especially if other results go their way.
One of the results in question is Manchester United's home match against Aston Villa, which is sure to have attracted a lot of fantasy interest given the sparkling form of Louis Van Gaal's men, along with the fact that Tim Sherwood will have two shots at putting points on the board with Villa this week. Most neutrals will surely be rooting for Villa in this one, at least among fantasy managers like me who have invested heavily in the relegation-threatened club. Players like Juan Mata and Wayne Rooney should also have a fair amount of investment this weekend, so it remains to be seen which group will be happiest at day's end.
The other team playing two matches this week is Queens Park Rangers, who kick off their double with a match away to West Bromwich Albion. Whether Chris Ramsey can get QPR to do anything away from Loftus Road will largely determine the fantasy impact his players make this week. A clean sheet and win would go a long way to building confidence for the London club heading into their crucial match against Villa midweek, and would nicely pad the scores of fantasy managers everywhere. Get a win for us, hey Chris?
Saturday's schedule also includes matches for Chelsea - Stoke City, Everton - Southampton, Leicester City - West Ham United, and Swansea City - Hull City. Have you invested in any single game players from these matches, or did you go all-in on double gamers from Villa and QPR?
I managed a pretty decent balance with my team, including 7 double gamers and 4 single game players:
Caulker, Ivanovic, Okore
Phillips, Sigurdsson, Delph, Sinclair
Austin, Kane, Benteke
Bench: Cresswell, Upson, Grego-Cox, Schmeichel
Share your final team in the comments and we'll find out who the top fantasy manager is this week. Good luck!
