Sometimes the season starting Community Shield is little more than a pre season game with a fancy dress on. Sometimes it's a real game between bitter rivals. This one is something right in the middle.
Arsenal still need to convince many that their back to back FA Cup wins can develop to a Premier League title. They have work to do finishing 13 points behind the Chelsea but have built a settled strong squad and have no known dressing room issues.
What the Gunners do need is a win over Chelsea. Wenger is without one in 13 matches against Jose Mourinho and there is still that feeling they look up to Chelsea, a feeling needing a big match win to remove.
Any game with Diego Costa playing will have some needle and although the match is missing Alexis Sanchez we still have attacking flair to enjoy from Eden Hazard, Cesc Fabregas, Theo Walcott, Santi Cazorla and co.
