Transfer deadline day live chat

After the dullest deadline day ever in January will the summer 2015 deadline day give us the drama and big name signings we hope?

Could we have a deal similar in size to the city signings on the final day of the transfer window.

Transfer deadline day has often been one of the most exciting days of the season.  Watching the clubs reacting to poor business in the summer and less than decent starts to the season can see last minute panic signings.

A few deals went through yesterday including.

Anthony Martial

Manchester United did last minute shopping this time last year and based on the opening 4 fixtures of this season really need to do so again.  The signing of Radamel Falcao was an exciting one last year but didn't work out with the player looking less than one we knew.  With Thomas Muller , Neymar and Gareth Bale not going anywhere the club signed the Monaco forward in a £36M pound deal.

Keylor Navas

David De Gea has finally left and Navas has arrived as part of the deal.

Fabio Borini

Liverpool have accepted a £10M  bid from Sunderland.  Borini really doesn't look like getting a look in at Liverpool now so that price seems a good deal for the reds.  He made an impact in the black cats side previously and will likely go straight into their starting 11.

Pierre-Michel Lasogga

Newcastle have made an £7M bid for Hamburg forward Lasogga.  The former Germany under 21 player has scored 17 goals in 46 for the Bundesliga side.

Nikica Jelavic

With West Ham United looking a little light in the forward positions manager Slaven Bilic has bought a familiar face in Jelavic into the Hammers.  They worked together when Bilic managed the international side and it looks a deal that suits all parties.

Papy Djilobodji

With Chelsea conceding at least 2 goals per game and Everton playing very hard ball over John Stones the champions have moved to £4M pound move for Nante defender Papy.

Glenn Murray

Bournemouth play nice attacking football but as Queens Park Rangers and Charlie Austin can tell you, to stay up you need more than one goalscorer.  A reported £5M bid has been accepted for a forward who has proved he can score in the EPL.

Perhaps John Stones still join Chelsea. With Man Utd loaning Adnan Januzaj to Dortmund they may yet pick up a player in return - I hope. With Arsenal looking just a couple of star starting 11 players away from title challenging side they are once again linked with Gonzalo Higuain yet join.  Just who will sign Charlie Austin?

Hopefully there will still be one super sized deal before the deadline ends.
