Goalkeepers
Petr Cech (Arsenal, $4,500) - Wenger is preparing to spend big in January as Arsenal have made very nice progress to their club's main ambitions this season by progressing to the knockout stages of the UCL as well as sitting atop the table in the EPL. Cech has been through every major tournament before and knows little and less about pressure. Arsenal should sweep Newcastle aside this weekend and Cech is a solid bet for a couple of saves, a clean sheet, and the win.
Simon Mignolet (Liverpool, $4,100) - Liverpool have kept back to back clean sheets for Coach Klopp and although a trip to West Ham is definitely a dangerous place in terms of attacking prowess, however we feel safe to say dial Simon up as a GPP special play as he will be a low-owned CS and win.
Jack Butland (Stoke, $3,500) - Double check Butland is between the sticks this weekend but assuming he is on track to start I don't understand why his price doesn't get jacked up. Ride this beast until it does.
Other options to consider: David De Gea (Manchester United, $4,200), Heurelho Gomes (Watford FC, $3,400)
Defenders
Hector Bellerin (Arsenal, $4,400) - Perfect person to handcuff Cech with. There's no reason to think Hector will do anything less than showcase his above-average pace down the flank as he fires in crosses all afternoon. CS, tackles galore, and plenty of offensive upsides make him a great play.
Christian Fuchs (Leicester City, $4,000) - One of my personal favorites this season, Fuchs has a very nice offensive skillset to go along with an intelligent Football IQ. With Leicester looking to regain their form before it sputters out of control, look for their coach Ranieri to ask his leaders, like Fuchs, to step up and help take some of the offensive burden off of Vardy and Mahrez.
Erik Pieters (Stoke, $3,900) - Having just been recently signed to an extension, life
is good for Pieters as he's enjoying by far the best season of his young career. Pieters is an excellent handcuff to stick with Butland as he is a rare, under 4-k defender that has it all, offensive upside, defensive prowess, as well as handcuff and clean sheet capabilities.
Other options to consider: Branislav Ivanovic (Chelsea, $4,100), Eric Dier (Tottenham, 3,600), Nicolas Otamendi (Manchester City, $3,000)
Midfielders
Riyad Mahrez (Leicester City, $8,800) - Mahrez has been sensational so far this season and after two down games in a row I expect a major bounceback performance as Leicester face what seems like a must-win matchup at home to regain their momentum. Takes the PKs, does it all on offense, look for Mahrez to prove his worth and silence the critics.
Mesut Ozil (Arsenal, $8,500) - Hate to write about the guys at the top of the price list as they are their for obvious reasons, however if there is a position to pay up for and a guy to snag it's Ozil. He is enjoying his best career season, especially in the Premier League, and is in line for a major pay increase this summer when his contract runs out.
Dele Alli ($4,800) - One of the more surprising impact players of the Prem this season, Alli may be the best young midfielder in the EPL. That being said he is also a key cog in what has looked like a rejuvenated Tottenham attack and for some strange reason his price never goes up. It's time for the world to know his name.
Other options to consider: Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City, $7,800), Willian ($7,300), Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool, $6,500), Erik Lamela (Tottenham, $5,000)
Forwards
Jamie Vardy (Leicester City, $7,600) - As previously mentioned, Leicester need to win badly and who better to bank on for some offense than Vardy. Make sure to have two out of three out of Vardy, Mahrez, or Fuchs this weekend.
Olivier Giroud (Arsenal, $7,500) - Giroud looks to be in the best form of his career and Arsenal are flying high at the moment. DFS and soccer are all about form and right now this man is probably the second most in-form striker in the EPL behind Ighalo, don't worry he's up next.
Odion Ighalo (Watford, $7,100) - After scoring in six straight matches, Ighalo finds himself attracting interest from Europe's top clubs as rumors of Roma inquires
broke the papers this week. Ighalo is 200-1 to break Vardy's consecutive goalscoring record and he faces his biggest test against a tough Man City defense however they will be without Kompany again and I for one believe in Ighalo to keep it alive.
Other options to consider: Sergio Aguero (Manchester City, $8,300), Romelu Lukaku (Everton, $8,300), Harry Kane (Tottenham, $7,700), Christian Benteke (Liverpool, $6,100)
Utility
Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace, $4,700) - Big matchup on Sunday for Pardew. He loves the big games and taking down the big clubs. Look for Zaha to be up front in the mix.
Shane Long (Southampton, $3,700) - Long dropped two goals two matches ago and will continue to lead the charge for Southampton up front while Pelle is out. At $3,700 he is a major steal.
