Week 23 kicks off with the majority of matches taking place on Saturday. This week's fixtures are intriguing as there isn't a true match up where the odds are stacked in one side's favor. This has been an incredibly exciting season in which most teams are competing at a very similar level. There just doesn't seem to be the traditional dominance from the bigger clubs, as the TV rights revenue has certainly evened out the playing field for the smaller clubs. It is getting harder and harder to predict which way a match could go.
Liverpool will be looking to bounce back from an utterly disappointing home loss to United as they host Norwich City. But let's face it, Liverpool haven't exactly been clicking this season and the Canaries can feel some relief that the Red's no longer boast the likes of Luis Suarez in their ranks. What did the Uruguayan have against Norwich exactly?
United on the other hand can feel good about earning all 3pts at Anfield, but not very proud of their performance. Van Gaal has seemingly taken the Red Devils in a backwards direction tactics wise and yet still has them challenging just at the edge of the top 4. Southampton are the team visiting Old Trafford and it looks like anything but a straight forward match for either side, but a home win would boost their chances of Champions League football next season.
Crystal Palace have been woeful in their last 4 matches in all competitions and will be facing a formidable Tottenham Hotspur side spear headed by Harry Kane. After conceding 8 goals in their last 3 matches, Alan Pardew will be looking to stifle Mauricio Pochettino's inform Spurs. This just doesn't seem like a match in which the Eagles will be able to keep Kane, Eriksen, Alli and co off the score sheet however.
West Ham have been a refreshing club to watch this season as they find themselves in the lofty portion of the top half of the table. City will be looking to continue their battle to regain the league summit from the grasp of Arsenal and Leicester. However, West Ham had the better of the two sides in their previous meeting and have been solid against the bigger sides this season. But with Sergio Aguero back to full fitness and back to his deadly eye for goal, the Hammer's will certainly have their hands full.
