A trip to Wembley awaits the winner of the tie between Manchester City and Everton, as the second leg of the Capital One Cup semifinal takes place this afternoon.  After Liverpool's victory yesterday in a penalty shootout, we can only hope for a matchup as exciting. City is the overwhelming favorite in the match, but they will need to overcome a 2-1 aggregate deficit to advance. Everton is the only side to prevent City from scoring at the Etihad this season, but with their recent form it will be unlikely they can duplicate that feat.

The hosts have sold so few tickets for the match that Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne both made videos this week pleading for fans to come out and support them. It would be beneficial for City, as they will need to win and prevent away goals from the visitors to advance. The first leg saw Everton take a 1-0 lead in first half stoppage time, when Ramiro Funes Mori was able to score off a rebound after Ross Barkley's shot was saved. Jesus Navas would bring the sides level in the 76th minute after Aguero found him wide open on a counter attack.  But it was Romelu Lukaku who responded less than two minutes later, as he nodded home a Gareth Barry cross to give the Toffees the advantage at the midway point of the tie.

The match will see a few changes to the regular lineups, one of the biggest being the replacement of Joe Hart in goal by Willy Caballero. Sergio Aguero is expected to lead the Citizens' attack against an Everton side that will be without Muhamed Besic and Kevin Mirallas due to injuries. However, both sides should have a fair amount of firepower on display as they will want the chance to lift their first piece of silverware in the 2015-16 campaign.
