Remember, four teams have a bye this week, Manchester City, Liverpool, Newcastle and Everton. Some decisions may have to be made in both the Barclay's Official Game and even Fantrax. Will we try to keep some players we have at a discount or purge them. I dropped Firmino (and kept Aguero) in the Official game and in Fantrax I dropped everyone who had bye weeks.
There are some exciting fantasy matchups this week as we discussed in our weekly Staff Picks article. Spurs host Swansea at White Hart Lane. High flying Leicester look to continue their brilliant run of form as Norwich rolls into town. And Stoke, who appeared to get back on the scoring track in their recent match entertain bottom of the table, Aston Villa.
The early match features West Ham United hosting the relegation possibility, Sunderland. Other matches are Chelsea at high rolling Southampton, can the Saints continue their defensive run since Fraser Forster's return from injury? Watford hosts Bournemouth as two of last year's promoted sides jockey for mid table position. In what appears to be a possible defensive battle Crystal Palace travels to West Brom. And a match that still will enjoy substantial appeal, Arsenal visit Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Most fantasy squads will have Leicester's dynamic duo, Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez, the Batman and Robin of the prem this season.
My Official BPL team:
Bertrand, A.Williams, Targett,Dier, Mahrez, Payet, Antonio, Ozil, Ali, Kane, Vardy
Fantrax:
Forster, Wimmer, Byram, Cissoko, Ericksen, Mahrez, Payet, Khazri, Arnautovic, Vardy, Adebayor (an interesting combination of some bargain picks along with Forster, Mahrez and Vardy at retail).
So anyway, how are your teams looking? What are you expecting? And as always, best wishes to all.
Charles
