Brilliant midweek football awaits. Can we have a monster fantasy point haul in one night?

It's football under the floodlights once more as we move into week 28 of the season with midweek action.

Unusually the fixtures are spread evenly over the two night.  Tuesday night starts us of with the following match ups.

Aston Villa v Everton

Bournemouth v Southampton

Leicester City v West Bromwich Albion

Norwich v Chelsea

Sunderland v Crystal Palace

In the world of fantasy the following players are of interest tonight or looking ahead to the weekend.

Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley

Both are in many NMA players sides this week.   A trip to Villa traditionally would have meant caution, certainly so at Fantrax prices.  However the worst Villa side in Premier League history look lifeless and Everton with a long rest will be licking their lips.   Everton host West Ham at the weekend and while both sides will have an eye on the following weeks FA Cup quarter finals they are an option.

Fraser Forster

He was rocking and rolling prior to week 27 with 6 clean sheet on the spin.  A home loss to champions Chelsea brought him down to earth and next follows a tricky away tie at Bournemouth.  The Cherries have lost a little of the attacking drive and appear to have made a subtle change to their approach keeping things tight and picking up the point or two as they can.  Saints host Sunderland in week 29 so anyone holding Forster cheap in Fantrax will likely do so through the Bournemouth and Black Cats ties.

Jamie Vardy and/or Riyad Mahrez

Two of the season's favorites and must haves in the official game have a plumb fixture.  It a huge night for Leicester, having done their own last minute winner against Norwich at the weekend we can expect them feeling better about themselves and therefore a more dangerous attacking threat in this game.  In this becomes true then Vardy and Mahrez will surely  be involved and providing fantasy points.   A went for both against Norwich in all formats with just the one assist for my money.  I like both to add goals tonight and in Fantrax they will provide us with our big call for the next few weeks.  Plumb fixtures follow and they will play in week 30.  With Vardy over 20m and Mahrez 23m they will set you back almost half of your team's funds.   A big game for both against WBA will make the purchase prices almost out of reach.

Saido Berahino

Suddenly young Berahino is back in the 1st team with a smile on his face and back in the goals.  Berahino is playing for a move to Tottenham and needs to drive home his potential unto the seasons end to force Spurs to commit to the purchase.   Considering he was penalty taker previously and facing a Manchester United back line potentially lining up with Michael Carrick and Daley Blind he will be a real alternative pick in week 29.

Diego Costa , Eden Hazard and Robbie Brady

Chelsea are still unbeaten in the leagues under Guus Hiddink and head to Norwich as firm favourites.   Norwich have more to play for in the league from here on so the game could be tighter than it at first appears.  If they can find the defensive organisation we saw against Leicester the Norwich may pinch a point or better in this one.   A point really would be a good result for Norwich and take them into the relegation 6 pointer at Swansea City in a decent frame of mind.

For Chelsea rumours of a rest for Diego Costa during the next two fixtures concerns but you would think the Stoke game is the more likely.  With Oscar missing his last penalty, Diablo may now hold those duties increasing his value until the end of season.   I'm not sure we have ever seen a player of the season so bad the following as we have seen Hazard in 2015/16.   There are  now signs he is coming through the period and that good news for Chelsea's FA cup and Champions League bid even better for Belgium's Euro 2016 challenge.  At 6m I can't resist trying him but he has flopped every time I have this season.  With Pedro out Hazard seems likely to have secured his 1st team spot back and any further signs of form should see him an option for week 29.

Khazri has been a very good real life signing so far for Sunderland but a much better fantasy option.  At home to Palace he was a must pick and we can hope to see some high return on our investment.  He had a dressing down by Big Sam at the weekend attempting his best Jay Jay Okocha impression losing 1-0 late in the game he angered the Sunderland manager.   As Sam said he is no Jay Jay and despite a very bright start at his new club he needs to concentrate on the position the job in hand.  Regardless I love a player with flair and he is one with potential next season if Sunderland can stay up.  An ultra-tough trip to Southampton awaits for the weekend and is the type of game you need your battlers/dogs of war.   If he reacts negatively to his managers strong words and performs poorly tonight he could find himself benched for that game.  As an owner I hope to see a continuation of the fantasy player we have seen so far.

Daniel Sturridge

Whisper it but Daniel played 120 minutes this weekend past and only had cramp.  A likely rest midweek would make him a real option for the weekend even away from home.
